Our Story - How Red Smoke Automotive Got Started
In case you were wondering, Red Smoke Automotive takes its name from a song by chart-topping local band The Reytons.
Our garage was founded by our lead technician, former racing car mechanic Iain Lound, alongside business partners Martin Simpkins and Tony Reynolds, who also run Bio UK Fuels, a pioneering Sheffield company that recycles waste into sustainable fuels.
When Bio UK Fuels relocated back to Sheffield in 2022, after five years in Rotherham, we sought the perfect premises to accommodate both businesses, and now operate them side by side in Tinsley, Sheffield.
After finding an ideal location, we joined forces to create Red Smoke Automotive, investing in state-of-the-art equipment and creating a modern automotive centre.
Our spacious workshop is fully equipped to handle all types of vehicles, from family cars to large motorhomes and commercial vans.
With our convenient location just minutes from Meadowhall Shopping Centre and Junction 34 of the M1, we’re easily accessible to customers from Sheffield, Rotherham and the surrounding areas.
